Abstract

This paper presents an analysis of one of the most widely discussed concepts of the contemporary political thought; the concept of radical democracy. This idea created and developed by Chantal Mouffe and Ernesto Laclau is a contemporary form of emancipatory project. This paper examines some fundamental elements of this concept and shows how the concept of radical democracy differs from the emancipatory projects formulated by others contemporary philosophers.
