Abstract

The concepts of the coincidence of the opposites are shown in this essay in the area of the open dialogue. This dialogue exhibits the semantical openness of its terms that neither integrate nor differentiate it peremptorily. Both questions and fundamental logic laws are a binder thereof. All the less, they lead towards a system. They address paradoxes instead, in other words, the statements at odds with those commonly accepted and apparently right, albeit in fact leading to contradictory conclusions. The most important questions beget paradoxes: Does God create humanity and humanity create God? Is the world both a bogus and reality? These questions show that the principle of contradiction is, on the one hand, to be ascribed to the concepts of the coincidence of the opposites, and, on the other hand, is, paradoxically destroyed by them. In the essay, the ideas of Nicolas of Cusa, St. Bonaventure, Mircea Eliade and Manfred Lurker are quoted. Umberto Eco quotes the question put to Wilhelm: “Still, how is it possible for a necessary being woven entirely out of possibility to exist? What is the difference between God and the primitive chaos? Is not the statement that God is both omnipotent and absolutely decisive as to His choices tantamount to saying that God does not exist?”.
