Wielokulturowość w Polsce. Nowe wyzwania dla antropologii kulturowej i etnologii

Abstract

In the article the author analyzes the condition of multiculturality in Poland. She distinguishes inner and immigrant multiculturality, and in that context she considers ethnocentrism and xenophobic behavior of Polish people in relations to foreigners. Presumably the number of multicultural immigrants in Poland will grow, while negative attitudes of Polish people are strengthening. That attitude are negatively perceived by scholars of cultural sciences, who are cultural relativists. The author develops an educational project of usage of anthropological potential of relativism, which she labels as educational one. The influence of anthropologists and ethnographers refers to academic, elementary and museum levels of education. Classes conducted by academic pedagogues prepare teachers of various levels for work with foreign students. In the article arguments for presented educational project are discussed.
