Uwagi o granicach poznania naukowego

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyse the problem of the limitations of scientifc knowledge in the area of natural science. After historical and systematic discussion, it will be shown that at the cognitive (theoretical) level, scientifc inquiry has no limits and idea of insolubilia is false. Simultaneously there are some limitations to science at the practical (economic, technological, and ethical) level. We must also recognize some very important issues (cognitive and evaluative ones) that are beyond the feld of science. For this reason this result is important for metaphilosophical discussions concerning relations between natural science and philosophy.
