Czekając na osobliwość – o modelach interpretacji techniki

Abstract

The main purpose of this paper is to analyze the interpretation models which have applied to understand the relationships between human being and machine/technology because these models are the basis for assessing consequences of using the technology. Theoretical analysis was used in this study. The research included defining such categories as: machine, singularity, artificial intelligence and also the relationships between them. The author focused on the three interpretation models: instrumentalism, substantivism, constructivism. In the paper it is assumed that these models contain implicit suppositions that make difficult to assess the consequences of the emergence of technical artifacts, such as the radical invention like singularity. The novelty of the analysis is an attempt to explain significant divergences in technology assessment and to formulate the initial conditions to a more adequately anticipating the consequences associated with upcoming of singularity.
