Abstract

The text contains auto-interpretations of those poems chosen from the volume Kamień i czas (Stone and Time) that are preceded by mottos from the Bible and from various philosophers, as well as several other poems which are thematically similar. The arguments are presented as a contrived dialogue. It is a conversation of the poet-author with himself about the philosophical contents and the way they are expressed in the chosen poems. The author defines these contemplations as meditations. The scope of the ‘meditations’ often goes beyond the content of the poems and becomes thereby a more general exposition of the poet’s view of the world.
