Abstract

Lvov-Warsaw School is the most important school of thought in the history of Polish contemporary science. Its founder, Kazimierz Twardowski, is regarded as one of the greatest Polish scholars and teachers, a role model for anyone who strives for perfection. He raised many promising students of his time, who became masters in their respective fields, not only in philosophy, but also psychology, sociology, history and even medicine. One of them was Zbigniew Jordan, who was not his student directly, but who described him as if he had been so. In this article, we show Zbigniew Jordan’s view on the personage of Kazimierz Twardowski, his personality and scientific and pedagogical achievements as well as present new views on the famous scholar.
