Abstract
Paraphrase Method in Realism Debate. Comparative Analysis of Views of Michael Dummett and Kazimierz Ajdukiewicz.
In this paper I explore the usage of the paraphrase method in the realism debate. I argue that Kazimierz Ajdukiewicz solved the realism-idealism problem. In the first section, I give the definition of the paraphrase, and formulate conditions of a paraphrase evaluation. In the next section, I show the development of Dummett’s stance in realism debate. In the second half of the paper, I reconstruct the argument formulated by Ajdukiewicz against idealism. In conclusion, I show what assumptions lead us to solve the dispute.
