Abstract

The concept of source directs our attention to the historicity of the works of art and the temporary aspect of aesthetic experience, which is associated with the infinite process of interpretation. A work of art – like a specter – returns from the past and seeks for understanding in our present. This in turn provokes to ask questions about the essence of the work of art, which is not evident in the context of spectrality at all.
