Abstract

The aim of the article is to present main assumptions, methodological tools and selected solutions of the feminist philosophy of science. The authors present a program for a socially responsible feminist philosophy of science, in which neo-epistemic categories (such as equality or responsibility) are treated as equally important as cognitive values. Additionally, they point out selected philosophical diffculties that arise when philosophy of science takes into consideration the gender factor, and when we postulate the inclusion of the “female experience” in the process of producing knowledge.
