Abstract

Bocheński’s Understanding of Philosophy

The article presents Bocheński’s understanding of the philosophy. First, Bocheński’s view on the nature of philosophy and its relation to world view is outlined. Then, the concept of superstition is presented. It served as a source of guidelines for philosophy conceived as a rational cognitive activity. In the last part, Bocheński’s postulates regarding analytic philosophy are demonstrated.
